Josh King Madrid, better known as JetSet, was born in Orange, California on March 8, 1998. JetSet was reared in Ohio, where his father developed a $7 million internet drop shipping business selling health items and air ionizers while attending Ohio State Medical School. Years later, the dot-com boom burst, the e-commerce company went bankrupt, and he relocated to Whittier, CA, after his father acquired a position at a local hospital. His mother stayed at home with JetSet and his siblings while she attended law school. JetSet spent his childhood helping his parents create their second e-commerce firm, Ehealthsupplies.com.
JetSet used to assist his mother with order fulfillment and product packaging so she could ship E-Health Supplies to consumers. The e-commerce firm lasted four years and generated $300,000 to $600,000 in sales per year before his parents decided to wind it down owing to the low profit margins they had by trying to compete with prices in the marketplace. JetSet used to make paper-folded wallets, design different animals on them, and sell them to his friends while he was in kindergarten.
